BRISTOL — Charlie Radcliff recalls how his father started the family business 65 years ago to create a special crescent-shaped wire that no one else had ever made. During a tour last Friday of the company’s Bristol facility he served as a guide of its history to city and chamber leaders.

“My father, Don Radcliff, started Radcliff Wire in 1959 to help spring manufacturers obtain special-shaped wire that wasn’t available anywhere else,” said Radcliff, president of the company.
