Anne P. Ruquist

Anne P. (Parent) Ruquist, 86, widow of Thomas K. Ruquist, died on Wednesday (January 25, 2023) at The Pines at Bristol.
Anne was born in Portage Lake, ME on December 3, 1936 and was a daughter of the late Albert and Alma (Raymond) Parent.
A longtime Bristol resident, she worked for Wallace Barnes, and was manager then CEO of the Bristol Municipal Employees Federal Credit Union on N. Main St. in Bristol.
She was an avid reader and enjoyed jigsaw puzzles. She served as Justice of the Peace and was a member of Altrusa Club and the Terryville Congregational Church.
Anne is survived by two daughters: Judi Girouard and husband, Michael of Bristol, and Jennifer Stuckman of Bristol and Thomas Reynolds of Winsted; daughter-in-law: Shirley Ruquist of Bristol; grandchildren: Karl Ruquist and wife, Renee, Brian Stuckman and wife, Gabriela, David Stuckman and wife, Allison, Julie Girouard and fiancé Brian Bonati, Stephanie Boyea and husband, Joel, Katie Noble and husband, Jack, Kara Berube and husband, Ryan; sister-in-law: Lois Douyard; and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son: Kenneth Ruquist, son-in-law: James E. Stuckman, brother: Raymond Parent, and sister: Bernadette English. Funeral services will be held on Monday (January 30, 2023) at 11 AM at Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol, officiated by the Rev. Zachary Mabe. Burial will follow in Peacedale Cemetery, Bristol. Relatives and friends may call at Funk Funeral Home on Monday between 10 and 11 AM.
