City of Bristol historian Tom Dickau will lead this walk along the Pequabuck River and talk about the river's historic uses and landmarks. Join us for this fun and informative walk along our hard-working river. Memorial Boulevard walk.
He will cover: 1. the waters flowing into the river from different directions 2. The early importance of the river to the growth of our community, 3. the earliest industries located along the river and their importance and necessities, 4. The shifting of the river to build the Memorial Boulevard, and 5. The Flood of 1955 and how it effected this area.
Meet at the parking lot on Memorial Boulevard green.
