About this event
This presentation will explain the differences between Skilled Nursing Homes, Independent and Assisted Living Communities, Continuing Care Retirement Communities and Memory Care Communities. Liz Cornish will then focus specifically on Assisted Living and Memory Care Communities. She will explain how these communities can differ in care and amenities. She will provide information regarding questions that families should ask and things to look for in an Assisted Living or Memory Care Community.

Liz will also provide information on how and when to start a conversation with your family member about transitioning to an assisted living or memory care community.

Lastly, she will discuss the cost of Assisted Living verses the cost of remaining in the home. Different ways to pay for care in the home and ways to help cover the cost of Memory Care or Assisted Living will be addressed.

Presented by Physical Therapist and Dementia specialist Liz Cornish, MSPT. Liz works extensively in the fields of assisted living and memory care. Liz is the owner of New Season in Life, LLC.

The Mayor and the Department of Parks, Recreation, Youth & Community Services (BPRYCS) invite local youth and families to participate in a scavenger hunt for school supplies at Bristol’s Muzzy Field. Bristol families with children Pre-K to 8th grade are encouraged to participate. This FREE event will include door prizes, vendors, and a pencil hunt, where participants will hunt for pencils correlating to prizes.
