The 22nd Annual Wonder of Women (WOW) Event (26,536 Views)
The 22nd Annual Wonder of Women (WOW) Event
MAY 2 @ 5:30 PM - 8:00 PM
The 22nd annual Wonder of Women (WOW) event will be held on May 2, 2023, starting at 5:30p.m. at the Aqua Turf Club in Planstville! In addition to several grantee organizations, the guest speaker this year will be Christine O’Leary, an award-winning comedian. O’Leary’s mission is to make a difference and make you laugh until you cry. Often referred to as a “comedian’s comedienne”, Christine takes immense pride in being known as the host that “can make a show out of anything” and “get the funny out of anyone”.
The annual WOW event supports the mission of the Women & Girls Fund at Main Street Community Foundation — to improve the quality of life for all women and girls in Bristol, Burlington, Plainville, Plymouth, Southington and Wolcott. The proceeds from the event benefit the grant awards made by the Fund every fall. Last year the Fund awarded over $43,000 to local organizations and causes and since its establishment in 2001, over $712,000 has been awarded.
Attendees will be able to take part in a Silent Auction, and enjoy food served at various stations while networking. Dessert and Coffee are also included, and there will be a Cash Bar. Reservations are required and being accepted now! Seats are $65 per person – Please RSVP by April 14th by calling 860-583-6363. More information can be found at www.mainstreetfoundation.org.
