How Authors Create Fiction From Their Lives with Robert Markowitz

How Authors Create Fiction From Their Lives with Robert Markowitz
JULY 20 @ 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM

Robert Markowitz left his lucrative criminal law practice to become a clown and kid’s musician and wrote a novel about it. The author will flesh out five steps for fictionalizing real life, using Ernest Hemingway’s The Sun Also Rises as a template. Markowitz has written personal essays for the New York Times, released three children’s albums of original songs, and played thousands of shows. He has worked as a teacher, an attorney, and a clown. Clown Shoes is his first novel in which he explores mid-life crisis – and passion. Please register by calling 860-584-7790. This event is free to attend.

A new addition this year will be a weekly raffle. People who visit the market can enter the free raffle to win items donated by the vendors. Raffle slips will be available to fill out at the Welcome Rotary Club tent each week. There is no purchase necessary and will be open to everyone who visits the market.
